Tea Creations: Ornament Your Christmas With This White Chocolate and Matcha Popcorn

We introduced this recipe toward the end of last year but this of course can be made any time of year. If you are a fan of white chocolate, matcha, and popcorn, recipe combines all these things. Our staff member did a great job putting this recipe together and this white chocolate popcorn be a great way not just to celebrate Christmas but celebrate the coming of Summer.
– Plain popcorn 50g
– Vegetable oil or butter 30g
– White chocolate 125g
– Matcha 5g

1. Put a bowl of white chocolate in hot water. Stir gently to melt. Stir frequently and with a rubber spatula, until chocolate is creamy, about 5 minutes.
2. Add oil and popcorn into a pan and cook with medium heat until it stops popping.
3.Drizzle melted chocolate over popcorn and add matcha powder. Mix well until it’s thoroughly coated. Place in the refrigerator to cool for about 1 hour.

What is nice about this recipe is it isn’t so much a meal as much as it is a fun snack for you and a friend. You can try to substitute the white chocolate for dark chocolate or some other plant-based chocolate to make the recipe plant-based. Regarding to the type of matcha you might want to use, our Premium Restaurant Matcha would work great. Also, you can try our Matcha Chiyo-no-Shiro and Restaurant Matcha. While the Matcha Chiyo-no-Shiro can be enjoyed on its own without any sweeteners, the Premium Restaurant and Restaurant Matcha are great to use for your recipes that involve sugar as brewed by themselves that can be a bit bitter.
